Marks & Spencer’s does not have the reputation for being the most fashion-forward of our high street shops.
So their decision to take a chance with a designer who is straight out of fashion school is a very welcome surprise.
Scottish Fashion Graduate of the Year 2010, Jett Sweeney, impressed the competition’s judges – including M&S bosses – with her on-trend black mini-dress with a pleated skirt and brass detailing.
Eight months later, her dress £95 is going on sale in M&S branches in London, Scotland and online.
Soon after the award was announced, Jett gushed: ‘To have one of my own creations in a Marks & Spencer store and even worn by the public is every designer’s dream.
‘I still actually can’t believe it and I am utterly thrilled at this incredible opportunity!’
