Beauty Icon of 2011.

Kate Middleton has been voted the top beauty icon of 2011 – beating sister Pippa into second place.

Sara Wolverson, Superdrug Director of beauty, who commissioned the research, said: ‘What is fascinating is that four of the five celebrity women to appear in the top five are brunettes, which would indicate that while blondes may have more fun, brunettes are seen to be more beautiful.”

The poll includes the likes of  Brit beauties Cheryl Cole, Tulisa Contostavlos, Victoria Beckham and Pixie Lott, as well as surprisingly Amy Childs of TOWIE.
The director of the poll added, “As always our Beauty Icons survey gives a snapshot of the changing face of British beauty.”

Who is your beauty icon of 2011?

Wheels on fire…

They’re back, 20 years on, a teeny bit older, none the wiser but definitely still Absolutely Fabulous.

The original fashion victims, Patsy and Eddie return with three Christmas specials over the Christmas period. The original cast — including Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley, who plays Eddie’s sidekick Patsy — will return and there will be guest appearances by Stella McCartney, Elly Jackson of La Roux and Emma Bunton.

Absolutely Fabulous was first broadcast in 1992 and ran for three series. It returned for two more series and another two specials between 2001 and 2004, with a Comic Relief edition on BBC1 in 2005.

And this reunion might not be the last, as Miss Saunders has spoken of an Ab Fab film.

I cannot wait to tune in on Christmas Day. Will you be watching?

Technicolor mise-en-scéne of desire.

It looks like bold print are here to stay.

Prada has just released its beautiful spring collection called “Technicolor mise-en-scéne of desire.” The retro feel campaign was shot by Steven Meisel and is said to reflect the hyper real Americana inspiration of Miuccia Prada spring collection.

I love the silk green flower print bomber style jacket.

The rumors are true, Chanel has confirmed that Alice Dellal will be the face of the its handbag collection ‘Boy Chanel’.

“[Karl Lagerfeld] had a crush on this unique, charismatic young lady, who is both a model and musician, during a photo shoot several months ago,” Chanel said in a statement, WWD reports. “This previously unforeseen alliance finally became self-evident. Alice Dellal represents the perfect incarnation of all that is unique about the Boy Chanel handbag collection, which strives [to be] far from conformist notions of femininity.”
