We reported earlier this week that Hennes & Mauritz were rumored to be launching a new luxury line. And we have now found out that the high street mega giant do have a new retail chain in the works, and apparently it is going to be a lot like the groups other high street success, Cos.
‘We have many different projects in progress and already next year we will be launching a completely new store chain,’ H&M’s chief executive officer Karl Johan Persson told WWD ‘Like COS, which today is very successful with good profitability, the new chain of stores will be independent and complement the other offerings from the group.’
The full details of the new stores and what price bracket the clothes in the store will be, but we do know we will be seeing a new edition the the Great British high street in 2013. ‘We have great faith in this new brand and we see considerable potential for further initiatives,’ Persson added.
