Following partnerships with Karl Lagerfeld, Calvin Klein and Alberta Ferretti, Macy’s Impulse designer series has now recruited Nicole Richie as the latest designer to collaborate with Macy’s on a capsule collection, a limited edition continuation of the line.
For her collection, Nicole Richie has focused on Seventies style silhouettes, retro prints and “bohemian glamour”, which is said to be heavily influenced by the designers own personal style.
Flowing hippie dresses, maxi skirts styled with cropped tops, fitted jackets and embellished blouses, all items we can imagine Nicole herself wearing.
“Macy’s is the epitome of American fashion,” said Richie. “Its iconic stamp on the world of retail has not only touched the lives of consumers, but has also become a significant part of pop-culture. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work with Macy’s and create a collection that channels the individual artist in all of us.”
The collaboration is set to launch in 100 Macy’s stores across the US in September, but will also be available for international shoppers to buy online at www.macys.com. Prices range from $49 (£30) to (£95).
We are looking forward to snapping up some of the maxi skirts to feature in our winter wardrobe. What do you think of the collection?
