The Kate effect continues

The Duchess of Cambridge’s influence on fashion continues as Marks & Spencer have seen sales sore of a certain Kate favorite wardrobe essentials – the nude court shoe.

The high-street department store Marks and Spencer has sold an average of one pair of their Limited Collection patent courts in ‘caramel’ every two minutes over the last seven day. Marks and Spencer say that the appearance of the shoe in their latest ad campaign it is assumed that the real reason is the masses trying to emulate the Duchesses fashion choices.

Nude court shoes have soared in popularity since the Duchess began wearing an £195 L.K. Bennett pair at an array public appearances.  Marks and Spencer pair are at the fraction of the price at £19.50 making them very accessible to those trying to steal the Duchess style.

“Nude court shoes have always been a popular style for us however, their popularity has grown by royal proportions over the last year and even more so since featuring in our September TV Ad,” said Sally Ambrose, head of buying and footwear at M&S. “Although celebrity influence can often be a factor to increased sales the nude court shoe is a classic wardrobe staple that every woman should own.”
