Rihanna’s has filed a case against Topshop, and is currently suing the brand for an apparent $5 million, for using a picture of her face on a T-shirt without her consent.

However, WWD has reports that unlike the U.S., “there is no right of personality” in the U.K., meaning that Topshop’s use of Rihanna’s photo is completely legal — as long as the company purchased it, so if Rihanna wins her case then it would become a landmark verdict.

The  T-shirt was on sale in Topshop’s UK stores at the end of 2012 and featured an image of Rihanna from the video We Found Love .
