The sun is here! The weather is warmer and the rain, for now, has gone. This means one thing – a new bright sparkly Spring wardrobe. Here we take a look at one of the big trends for Spring.
Predicted to be the trend with the most impact this season, pastels are back and we are so pleased. Everyone will have a pastel hue to suit, and with so many garments readily available in this color spectrum, we can all rock this ice cream tinged dream.
Here is my top choice of pastel pieces…….
Leather Skirt – River Island £95
Dress – Topshop £48
Jumper with lace sleeves – Reiss £95
Sandals – Sophie Webster £370
And don’t forget, if you need some extra cash for that ultimate Spring piece, then sell all unwanted clothes on ClosetBox!
Rihanna’s second collection for River Island is about to drop into stores on May 25th.
In a behind-the-scenes video released earlier this week, Rihanna can be seen viewing the collection, which has been designed by Adam Selman under her supervision.
“I made a piece for everybody in my crew, we all have different body types and different tastes,” she says. “Some are braver than others, but, you know, I think like that because that’s how all the women in the world are. We’re all different, we all like different things, we all have different occasions, different moods, different body types.” The collection has been created with her ‘crew’ in mind.
There are jumpers and T-shirts emblazoned with her portrait, tie-dyeand floral prints, and some “sexy” cotton pieces that singer says she’ll “live in”.

Rihanna has unveiled her River Island campaign for the first time, after showcasing the collection at London Fashion Week on Saturday night.
Rihanna hired some big names in modelling to showcase her debut collections, with names including Jourdan Dunn, Charlotte Free, Tao Okamoto, Ataui Deng and Bambi Northwood Blyth.
Photographed by Mario Sorrenti, the shoot – as with the clothing itself – is inspired by the Nineties.
Models lounge on a car – against a backdrop of vibrant colour – wearing a mixture of pieces from the collection, including a black floor-length dress with daring side split, a navy jumpsuit, and a striped bra top and high-waisted shorts.
The range lands in stores on March 5.

Following the British high street super brand Topshop who opened thier first US store in New York in 2009. , it has been rumored that River Island may be the own move to the states.
The retailer, which has nearly 300 stores at home and abroad, including Singapore, Russia and the Middle East. River Island representatives are said to be scouting out possible sites in Manhattan for the new store, which could open as early as next year, according to The Independent.
However, the US retail market is notoriously hard to crack but River Island may be onto a winner with the brand recently confirming their high-profile collaboration with Rihanna which is set to launch in Spring 2013, this could be the perfect time to introduce River Island to the American highstreet.
What do you think? Do you think River Island can crack the USA?
